第53屆金馬獎年度廣告由導演趙德胤、陳哲藝、畢贛各拍１支，９月30日曝光陳哲藝執導、張震主演的版本，以《牯嶺街少年殺人事件》為題，片中讓39歲的張震和14歲的張震在時空中交會。提到拍攝，張震說首次跟陳哲藝合作，雖需要時間磨合，但整體感覺新鮮，更感謝導演楊德昌當年的帶領。

對張震來說，25年後重返拍片場景，往事歷歷在目，「他（楊德昌）改變我的一生，讓我對電影產生興趣，若沒有導演的提拔，現在也不會當演員。」也說藉由這支短片，將導演楊德昌的故事、精神傳承下去，讓更多人知道。

今年適逢《牯嶺街》放映25周年，陳哲藝表示該片為他心中「華語影片之冠」，想藉此向楊德昌致敬。他說當初接到「金馬53」的廣告任務，心中壓力極大，是近年來「最難的一份功課」。他曾以《爸媽不在家》奪下「金馬50」最佳影片、新導演等大獎，看到崇拜的大師如侯孝賢、蔡明亮，近年都陸續幫金馬拍攝年度廣告，期許自己也能拍出金馬獎精神及對電影的熱愛。

過去1年，大陸大學生信用卡透支消費糾紛，裸貸（拍裸照當貸款抵押品）、無力償還貸款而跳樓、冒用同學身分網貸等社會事件層出不窮，大學生管控財務的能力受質疑。為了解大陸大學生的消費習慣及金錢概念，陸媒舉辦網路問卷調查，赫然發現學歷越高的越會花錢，北京、上海和東北地區上大學的花費最高。

據《2016大學生消費觀念調查報告》顯示，受訪學生中，39.5%每月支出為1001到1500元（人民幣，下同），不到500元的僅3.8%，也有高達15.3%的大學生每個月會花到2000元以上。

博士生花的比大學生還多，41%的人坦承每月支出超過2000元；但也不是人人都捨得花錢，29.7%的博士生每月花不到500元。

由於物價上漲及新鮮事物的出現，例如遊戲、影音平台、更高階智慧手機等，現在的大學生平均花費比5年前的大學生多2倍，除了吃飯之外，最主要是用在買衣服，其次為外出娛樂、戀愛、零食、日常用品、網路遊戲、書籍、化妝品與奢侈品。

雖然念大學的花費比以前多，但學生們打工、兼差自賺學費或生活費的人卻大幅減少，有7成的學生依賴父母提供經濟來源，僅有不到1成的人是自己負擔所有費用。而當入不敷出時，62%的人選擇打工賺錢，其中，男生創業比例遠高於女生，且大部分是透過微信、微博、微網等社群平台當微商，近8成月收入可達2000元以上，甚至有半數可賺到2萬元以上。
